The Guardian vs. Daily Mail

The Guardian vs Daily Mail

The Guardian and Daily mail are different because there audience is for very different people, The Guardian aims at more writing and information where as the Daily Mail uses pictures and plays with words on there front pages known as rightwing, yes still giving information but not as much as the Guardian may supply for the story, this is good for some people with not a lot of time on there hands and can just pick up the newspaper through the daily and read little snip bits of articles, where as the Guardian contains more information for people who enjoy reading and knowing a lot about a story etc.plus the Guardian is a leftwing

For example..

As you can see from the pictures, The Daily Mail takes a more humorous approach of drawing customers in rather then The Guardian which consists
of a lot of writing and a simple heading, Not the most eye catching personally but the readers of The Guardian news paper like a lot of information as you can see from the picture and the Guardian supplies the reader with that. They both use pictures on the front page of there news papers but the guardian uses lead paragraphs which link onto further in the news paper. I have seen the Daily Mail use these from my research but not in this case besides the main headline.

The Guardian has used a few plugs at the top of the newspaper to interest the reader, The Guardians commonly known for using plugs to draw the audience as it is a very informative newspaper and a lot of words mean less space for pictures so they include these plugs as a median to help draw in customers to other articles within the newspaper.
